Frederic’s brother Alphonse did become a doctor (MD), then a priest. I have researched him to some length. He seemed fairly unstable, but a good priest. He moved from one group to another and took early retirement in Paris. thanks this is interesting. I also read that Alphonse was ordained deacon by bishop de Quelen. Is there any evidence that this family relationship made it easier for Frederic when he was in Paris to get a hearing from the bishop for his idea for the Notre Dame Sermons?
